"Can not recommended Annette highly enough! We have been using her services since 2017 and she can always be relied upon, even when called at the last minute (like when I went into labour!) She came out to meet us and put us at ease before our first time using her services and every time we go away, she leaves us detailed notes about how the cats have been and what she has done. Annette will message to reassure us that everything is well and is happy for us to contact her too. There have been a few occasions when something hasn't been quite right at the house (e.g. when our key safe looked like it had been tampered with) and she quickly contacted me and let us know the issue and what she is going to do about it. When one of our cats was not well, she was more than happy to administer medicines and take him to the vet if required. Annette goes above and beyond every time! She has been brought more 'presents' than we ever get and yet we never see ANY evidence when we get home, even after being brought a full size wood pigeon! We are very grateful for all she does for us!"

"I was very nervous leaving my beloved bunny whilst I went on my first holiday for 11years!

Annette was an absolute star!! She spent a lot of time caring for Heidi my bunny, keeping her clean, fed and happy and giving her lots of strokes and affection. Not only did Annette document every detail of Heidi's care, but she sent photos and messages by WhatsApp, which put my mind completely at rest and I was able to truly enjoy my holiday.

"Annette at Paws 4 Fun looked after our 2 cats last year for over a week. There was an initial visit to meet the cats and Annette went through all the feeding and medication details with us, which is especially important to us as one of our cats is diabetic.

On returning from holiday the house was as we left it and we had 2 very happy cats, affectionate straight away. Annette had left a diary of each visit and had clearly spent time with the cats as well as feeding, emptying the dirt tray and injecting.

"Being new to Ashford I was really nervous about finding good quality care for my two precious cats when we go on holiday. I shouldn't have worried though.

The minute I made enquiries with Annette at Paws4Fun she made me feel at ease. She came to visit us prior to our first booking and discussed both cats needs in detail making careful notes of their care routine, likes and dislikes etc. Both cats came to say 'hello', took a liking to her and she very naturally interacted with them.

I have used catteries before but one of my 'boys' especially gets quite stressed in a new environment and doesn't travel well. Having the comfort of their own home with 2 visits a day from Annette during our holidays has been the best decision I ever made. Both cats are so content and happy during her care. There are no signs of stress at all on our return, in fact they just look at us like they never even noticed we've been away. Haha!

Annette is fantastic, she leaves us daily diary notes whilst we are away and is excellent at communicating via text/WhatsApp. The house is super tidy on our return and Annette has also helped us with putting out bins, turning lights and 'kitty' radio on and off.

I am delighted to have found Annette and so are my 'boys'. She is an amazing lady who is organised and has a very genuine love for all pets. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for really good quality pet care."

"Annette looked after our cats, Sergio and Lola, for 3 days between Christmas and New Year whilst we were away. We booked in for morning and evening feeds and the service was just fantastic! Not only did Annette make sure our cats were fed, watered and had access to a clean litter box she also gave us complete peace of mind, with regular text updates as to their wellbeing. Annette ensured our home looked lived in by opening/closing curtains and when we arrived home there was a fab little report on how Sergio and Lola were! "Having moved to the area from South London about a year ago, we needed someone to look after our cat as we were going away soon after we moved. We found Annette through the local ad pamphlet.

It is a big ask to give someone the keys to your home and to ask them to look after your animal.

We met Annette and were immediately taken by the fact that she had thought of every possible scenario and had insurance in place for them too!

We have asked Annette to look after our cat on several occasions and have found her to be highly efficient, organised and completely trustworthy. She leaves a written log of what our cat has eaten and the prescribed medicine that has been given by Annette.

Annette is very accommodating and closes our blinds in the evening and she will also put out the dustbins for us so that it looks as if someone is at home.

She takes great care of our cat and we have no hesitation in recommending her to everyone."

"As soon as I spoke to Annette on the phone about looking after my cat, I could tell how passionate she was about pets & completely understands the love an owner has with their pets & what a worry it can be to leave them. When Annette first saw my cat I knew this was just perfect as my cat really took to Annette straight away. My cat is very old & set in her ways but is more than happy to be stroked, cuddled, combed and generally made a fuss of by Annette. I get a text message now & then from Annette just to let me know how things are which really puts my mind at rest while I’m away. Every detail is looked at, how to mash the food up ( my old cat doesn’t have many teeth left) litter tray cleaned, even opening & closing my curtains & putting the bin out! Whenever I go away I miss my little cat terribly, but I feel completely at ease knowing that Annette is looking after her. I would recommend Annette to anyone! I really wouldn’t know what I’d do without her! Thank you Annette!"

“Annette has taken care of my 2 cats several times.  She visited before I needed her and made lots of notes and the cats immediately liked her.  One of my cats is diabetic and Annette gives him an insulin injection twice a day, I wouldn't know what to do without her.  It would be really hard to go away without knowing the insulin is given by a kind and caring person who is a real professional as well! Annette clearly likes her job very much, she is very thorough, organised and precise.  She does an amazing job."

"I found treasure when I found Annette Shortall at Paws-4-Fun. What a diamond this lady is. I was worried about leaving my 2 boys for the first time. Didn't want to use a cattery as they get stressed being put into a carrier. Also, they are skittish with strangers. When Annette came around to meet them they allowed her to stroke them, true she was armed with treats, but even so it's unusual. Annette texted me a couple of times during my holiday to reassure me that the boys were eating, and even greeting her at the door, allowing strokes and were happy. I was expecting to arrive home to a lounge carpet full of fur but, no this wonderful lady had vacuumed and the house was spotless. I was left a daily diary report giving details of times of her arrival, how long she was here for, litter tray soil cleared or complete change, etc. Annette had even watered my garden plants, she had even put the bins out on collection day. If like me you have precious pets you are worried about leaving, Annette Shortall is your saviour."

"We have 6 rescue cats. Each one is a little character and they all come with baggage. Tillee had been kept separate from other cats for 8 months and behind closed doors. As a result, she was really afraid of strangers and could not be confined. We tried other carers but Tillee wouldn't eat, so this made it impossible for us to be away from the house for more than one day. Annette bonded with them all, almost straight away and slowly and patiently introduced herself to Tillee to gain her trust. Now Tillee will eat and watch Annette as she goes about the house, no more hiding in the bed or starving herself. We cannot recommend Annette highly enough. She is incredibly reliable and professional and may be trusted with your house keys as well as your beloved pets. She always sends a text to make sure you are not delayed returning home from your travels and when you get home you will find a full daily written report of activities undertaken with comments on wellbeing and a professional invoice. We would not use anyone else!"
